What is Migadu?
Migadu is a platform that allows you to create personalized email accounts with your domain. It’s strictly an email solution, and because it’s so simple, the account prices are also much more affordable compared to services like Gmail, Outlook, and others that include several additional email tools.
If you’re just interested in having an email account, Migadu may be the solution you’re looking for.
Why would I want to send Migadu emails from my Gmail account?
The main reason you might want to send Migado emails from Gmail is to have a centralized inbox. This allows you to send emails from a single location, whether it’s the mobile app or the web version, and this prevents you from constantly having to check your inbox on two different platforms.
Steps to set up your Migadu account
Step 1
Log in to your Gmail account from the website. This is important, as it won’t let you do it from the mobile app.
Go to Settings, then View all settings.
Step 2
In the “Accounts” section, find the “Send as:” row and click the “Add another email address” link.
Step 3
After clicking “Add another email address,” a new window will open where you must enter your Migado account information.
The first screen will ask for your name and email address.
In the name field, you can choose the name you want to give your account.
In the email address field, you must enter the Migado email account you want to add. It’s important that the name is exact, otherwise we won’t be able to configure it.
The second screen will ask for the SMTP server information, which should be as follows:
SMTP Server: smtp.migadu.com Username: The migadu email address. Password: The password for the migadu email account you are adding (not the Gmail password). Important: Select the “Secured connection using SSL” option, and Port: 465.
Step 4:
You’ll receive an email with a confirmation code in your Migado account, which you’ll need to enter on the last screen of Gmail.
Final step:
After completing these steps, you will be able to send emails from your email account.
When composing a new email, you will have the option to send an email from your Migadu address in the “From” field.
Important: These settings are for sending emails from your Migadu account. If you wish to receive emails sent to your Gmail account, you can do so in two ways:
Set up automatic forwarding in Migadu.
Set up email checks in Gmail via IMAP or POP3
